About Christina Ryan Claypool

Christina Ryan Claypool is a nine-time Chicken Soup for the Soul book contributor and an Inspirational/Christian speaker. She is a former Ohio Associated Press Media Editors’ award-winning newspaper columnist and past local TV reporter/host. She has been featured on Joyce Meyer’s Enjoying Everyday Life TV show, and CBN’s 700 Club.

Her fictional book, “Secrets of the Pastor’s Wife: A Novel” is available on all major online outlets and has been endorsed for Women’s Inspirational/Christian book clubs. Entertaining and inspiring fiction, the compelling storyline will encourage emotional healing, forgiveness, and restored faith.

Christina has hosted TV specials and spoken at many churches, civic groups, prisons, women’s conferences, and banquets. Although her own story was once heartbreaking, since after surviving an almost fatal suicide attempt, she was committed to a state mental institution as a teenager. Trying to cope with her youthful mental health challenge created by growing up in a traumatic dysfunctional environment, she self-medicated with drugs and alcohol, battling active addiction for more than fifteen years. Now for decades, she has found freedom from addiction through faith living one day at a time always relying on God’s grace for sobriety.

Christina shares on numerous topics to empower others to “Be the Best they can Be” through this same gift of miraculous grace. She has a B.A. in Business Administration from Bluffton University and earned a Master of Arts in Ministry from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She is married to an Ohio Public School supervisor whom she affectionately refers to as “Mr. Rules” and has an adult son, Zach, who successfully survived the helicoptering years.
